is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • Skin that reddens and stings easily, making regular peels hard to tolerate
  • You get breakouts but your skin is sensitive, so you have been putting off exfoliation
  • You want to prepare your skin before skin boosters or laser

YES Peel does not treat dermatitis or acne. If inflammation is severe, medical treatment comes first.

start with your concern

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • Where you are now, and where we start

Whether sensitivity comes from inflammation or a weakened barrier, and any upcoming events or other treatment plans

  • The change you want, the impression you keep

We work out whether redness and stinging come from inflammation or from a weakened barrier.

  • How it differs from similar options

We ask whether you have other treatments coming up, such as skin boosters. The manufacturer recommends YES Peel 1–2 weeks before skin boosters.

  • Health information and recovery schedule

The manufacturer states that existing acne may surface after treatment, so we check whether you have an important event coming up.

the principle

How it works

YES Peel is a barrier- and calming-focused peel based on fermented shea butter lactobacillus ingredients.

The manufacturer presents the YES Peel solution as a “one-step booster peel” that refines dead skin, and YES Cream as a cream containing shea butter lactobacillus ferment extract and moringa ceramide. It lists shea butter lactobacillus exosomes, postbiotics and vinegar as solution ingredients, but does not disclose the type or concentration of acid. “Exosome” here is the name of a cosmetic ingredient.

How it works

  • YES Peel solution

The step the manufacturer calls a “one-step booster peel”; it advises leaving it on the skin for 2–3 minutes.

  • YES Cream

A cream with shea butter lactobacillus ferment extract and ceramide, applied straight after the solution.

  • Sono and Omega LED

After the cream come Sono and Omega LED device steps. This is QD Clinic’s own composition, not part of the manufacturer’s basic sequence.

  • Dedicated pack

It finishes with the YES Peel dedicated mask. The manufacturer presents a chitosan sheet mask as this program’s mask.

the qd standard

The same treatment, never the same plan.

Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.

  • DIAGNOSIS FIRST

    Cause before name

We first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.

  • LESS, PRECISE

    Only as much as needed

Rather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.

  • HONEST LIMIT

    The limits, explained too

We explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

Plan it with our doctors

Please read this before treatment

  • The manufacturer says you can return to daily life straight away.
  • Apply moisturizer and a gentle sunscreen.
  • Avoid places that heat you up, such as saunas, and contact with anything that may be contaminated, such as reusing a mask you have already worn.

Safety & considerations

Possible reactions

  • Existing acne surfacing for a while
  • Mild redness or stinging
  • Dryness

Please tell us first if

  • You have severely inflamed acne or a skin infection
  • You are allergic to cosmetic ingredients such as shea butter
  • You have recently had laser or peel treatments
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

YES Peel is a cosmetic peel program and does not replace treatment for dermatitis or acne. Reactions and results vary from person to person.

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. On the day

    Gentle cleansing

The manufacturer advises using a mild cleansing foam on the day.

  2. 3 days

    Pausing cosmetics

Pause alcohol-based and vitamin cosmetics for 3 days, and avoid products you rub on, such as scrubs and toner pads.

  3. After that

    If acne surfaces

The manufacturer states that existing acne may surface after treatment. If swollen, painful spots increase, let the clinic know.

Sessions & results

Our treatment menu has a single session and 5 sessions. The manufacturer recommends once a week for 3–5 sessions. QD Clinic takes this into account but sets the interval by watching your skin’s response at each session. Changes in barrier and sensitivity show up differently for everyone. (Results vary from person to person.)

How it compares

Three options often compared for sensitive skin. The biggest difference is whether there is an exfoliation step.

before consultation

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

  • No. The “shea butter lactobacillus exosome” listed for YES Peel is an ingredient in a cosmetic applied to the skin. It is different from the exosome products used in scalp and skin treatments.

  • The manufacturer also advises that existing acne may surface after treatment. But if several swollen, painful spots appear or keep increasing after a few days, let us know. We may postpone the next session and treat your skin first.

  • The manufacturer says it recommends YES Peel 1–2 weeks before skin boosters. QD Clinic sets the dates for both treatments together based on your skin, and whether to have them on the same day is decided at consultation. That is why, before a YES Peel, we first ask about the dates of any upcoming skin booster or laser treatment.

  • The manufacturer advises pausing alcohol-based and vitamin cosmetics for 3 days. If it still stings when you apply it after 3 days, wait a few more days. During those same 3 days, also avoid products you rub on, such as scrubs and toner pads, and keep applying moisturizer and a gentle sunscreen.

  • The manufacturer recommends once a week for 3–5 sessions. You don’t have to stick strictly to that interval; if your skin becomes sensitive after a session, we extend the gap. At each session we check redness, stinging and whether existing acne has surfaced before setting the next date.
