Cryo Soothing Add-on
The cryo soothing add-on is a three-minute device-care step alongside another skin treatment. We check irritation, temperature sensation and cold sensitivity before applying surface cooling.
Cryo Soothing Add-on is available at QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, Korea.

is this for me
Who it’s for
Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.
- People discussing additional cooling after existing skincare
- Those wanting warmth after a procedure assessed
- People comparing a brief add-on with a complete facial program
Persistent severe heat or a suspected burn needs assessment rather than cooling alone.
start with your concern
Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.
Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.
Where you are now, and where we start
Three minutes of device cooling after checking warmth and sensitivity to cold
The change you want, the impression you keep
Consider the preceding treatment and surface condition. Reduced ability to feel cold requires particular caution.
How it differs from similar options
Cryo is a brief additional step; O2toDerm includes cleansing, a dome and moisturising.
Health information and recovery schedule
Cold urticaria, Raynaud-related problems or other cold reactions · Recent anaesthesia, numbness or an open wound
the principle
How it works
Cryo Soothing Add-on
Cryo care uses cool device contact for surface comfort. This three-minute skincare step differs from fat freezing and liquid-nitrogen treatment of warts. Colder or longer contact is not automatically more beneficial.
How it works
Check the reaction
Review redness and warmth after the preceding procedure.
Review cold sensitivity
Ask about cold-induced hives and reduced sensation.
Three-minute cooling
Adjust movement and contact rather than lingering on one point.
Recheck the skin
Look for persistent pallor or pain before finishing.
the qd standard
The same treatment, never the same plan.
Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.
- DIAGNOSIS FIRST
Cause before name
We first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.
- LESS, PRECISE
Only as much as needed
Rather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.
- HONEST LIMIT
The limits, explained too
We explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.
personal plan
From consultation to follow-up, planned as one flow.

Assess the need
Do not add cooling automatically after every procedure.
Check sensation
Painful cold is not a target for treatment.
Explain home care
Direct ice application is not the same as supervised device care.
What the procedure is like
- Confirm the preceding procedure, cold reactions and sensory changes.
- Apply three minutes of cryo device care within the suitable area.
- Recheck colour and pain, and explain why excessive cooling at home should be avoided.
Three minutes refers to device application, excluding assessment and preparation.
Please read this before treatment
- Do not hold ice or a frozen pack directly against the skin for a prolonged period.
- Report persistent pallor, blisters, pain or hives after cooling.
Safety & considerations
Possible reactions
- Pain, irritation or cold injury from excessive cooling
- Cold-induced hives in susceptible people
Review before care
- Cold urticaria, Raynaud-related problems or other cold reactions
- Recent anaesthesia, numbness or an open wound
Tell staff immediately about strong pain or whitening of the skin during cooling.
what to expect
What to expect over time
A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.
Before adding care
Check whether the current reaction is expected.
During cooling
Adjust immediately if cold feels painful.
Afterward
Observe the return of comfortable sensation and normal skin colour.
Sessions & results
Comfort varies. The add-on does not eliminate the original treatment’s recovery period or guarantee that redness disappears.

Before you decide, the questions people always ask
No. It refers to device application. Assessment, preparation and the preceding treatment require additional time.
No. It is brief surface soothing care, with a different purpose and operation from fat-freezing treatment. It also differs from liquid-nitrogen freezing used to remove warts. Its role is supportive, addressing warmth that remains after a preceding treatment.
Mention possible cold urticaria before starting. Cooling may trigger a reaction, so a different finishing step may be needed. Please also tell staff about Raynaud-related problems or areas of reduced sensation.
Prolonged direct ice contact can injure the skin. Follow only the method and timing provided for your actual procedure. If pallor, blisters or pain persist after cooling at home, or hives develop, contact the clinic.
Check the existing components first, including programs such as Aqua Peel Premium. Additional cooling depends on the remaining skin response and the practitioner’s judgement. It is not added routinely after every procedure, so it may be left out when little warmth remains.
