LaLa Peel

qd lala peel

LaLa Peel is a peel from H2MEDI’s LHALALA brand, made up of two bottles — BASIC and ULTRA — containing LHA (capryloyl salicylic acid). The distributor presents it as “a 4th-generation peel that fills rather than strips”. At QD Clinic, solutions 1 and 2 are followed by neutralizing, Omega LED and a sheet mask, and extraction is added separately if needed.

LaLa Peel is available at QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, Korea.

is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • Oiliness and breakouts are a concern, but your skin is sensitive
  • Peels that make the skin visibly flake feel like too much
  • Your skin looks rough and dull

LaLa Peel is a cosmetic peel. If you have many red, painful inflamed spots, medical treatment comes first.

start with your concern

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • Where you are now, and where we start

Whether your skin is oily yet stings easily, and whether irritation from peeling needs to be kept down

  • The change you want, the impression you keep

We check whether your skin is oily yet stings and reddens easily — the skin type the distributor highlights for LaLa Peel.

  • How it differs from similar options

We check for comedones that need extracting.

  • Health information and recovery schedule

Because it is a salicylic acid–type ingredient, we ask whether you have had hypersensitivity reactions to salicylates such as aspirin.

the principle

How it works

LaLa Peel’s key ingredient is LHA (capryloyl salicylic acid).

LHA is salicylic acid with a fatty acid chain attached, which makes it strongly oil-soluble. The distributor explains that while conventional peels “forcibly strip dead skin with acidic ingredients”, LaLa Peel “gently cares for dead skin with alkaline ingredients”, and names INCUBE 504, H2sol™ and lipid ingredients, alongside LHA, as what sets it apart. Concentration and pH have not been disclosed.

How it works

  • LHA

A salicylic acid derivative with the ingredient name capryloyl salicylic acid. Its attached fatty acid chain makes it well suited to oily areas.

  • Two bottles: BASIC and ULTRA

The product comes in two bottles, and QD Clinic applies solution 1 and solution 2 in turn.

  • A “non-stripping” approach

The distributor presents it as an approach that does not forcibly strip away dead skin. Visible shedding is not the goal.

  • Finishing with a sheet mask

After neutralizing and Omega LED, it finishes with a sheet mask.

the qd standard

The same treatment, never the same plan.

Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.

  • DIAGNOSIS FIRST

    Cause before name

We first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.

  • LESS, PRECISE

    Only as much as needed

Rather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.

  • HONEST LIMIT

    The limits, explained too

We explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

  1. Looking at oil and sensitivity together

We look at both how oily your skin is and how much it stings or reddens.

  2. Deciding on extraction

If there are comedones that need extracting, we discuss adding extraction.

  3. Treatment and finish

We proceed in order: solutions 1 and 2, neutralizing, Omega LED, sheet mask.

What the procedure is like

  1. Cleansing
  2. (If needed) extraction
  3. LaLa Peel 1 → 2
  4. Neutralizing
  5. Omega LED
  6. Sheet mask

How long each product stays on the skin is decided by watching your reaction. Total time is explained at your visit.

Plan it with our doctors

Please read this before treatment

  • Most people can return to normal activities straight away.
  • For a few days, pause retinol and exfoliating products.
  • Keep up with sun protection and moisturizing.

Safety & considerations

Possible reactions

  • Temporary stinging or redness
  • Dryness
  • Occasionally breakouts

Please tell us first if

  • You have had a hypersensitivity reaction to salicylates such as aspirin
  • Your skin is sunburned or severely inflamed
  • You use products that thin the skin’s outer layer, such as retinol
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

LaLa Peel is a cosmetic peel and does not replace treatment for acne or dermatitis. Reactions and results vary from person to person.

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. During treatment

    Mild stinging

It may sting slightly while applied. Tell us if it stings more than usual.

  2. On the day

    Back to daily life

Most people return to their routine straight away. Apply makeup once your skin no longer stings.

  3. Over a few days

    Oil and texture

How people feel changes in oiliness and texture varies. Tell us how it felt at your next session.

Sessions & results

Our treatment menu has a single session and 5 sessions. The distributor does not state a recommended interval in its public materials, and other clinics’ guidance varies. QD Clinic plans the next session by watching changes in oiliness and sensitivity. (Results vary from person to person.)

before consultation

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

  • Same family, but not the same ingredient. LHA is a derivative (capryloyl salicylic acid) made by attaching a fatty acid chain to salicylic acid. If you have had a hypersensitivity reaction to salicylic acid, let us know in advance.

  • It is the distributor’s phrase for LaLa Peel, explained as not forcibly removing dead skin with acid but replenishing the skin with lipid ingredients and the like. That is why LaLa Peel does not aim for visible flaking. That said, we can’t promise there will be no dryness or mild flaking at all, so we check your skin’s response together after treatment.

  • Articles introducing the product on the distributor’s side say it can be finished by rinsing with water, without a separate neutralizer. QD Clinic’s composition includes a neutralizing step after solutions 1 and 2, and we explain how we finish at your treatment. After neutralizing, we finish with Omega LED and a sheet mask.

  • The product comes in two bottles, BASIC and ULTRA. The key ingredient the distributor has disclosed is LHA (capryloyl salicylic acid). The distributor has not disclosed the specific differences or concentrations, so at your treatment we explain the order QD Clinic uses and how long each stays on.

  • The skin the distributor highlights for LaLa Peel is sensitive skin with oiliness and breakout concerns. But if you have many red, painful inflamed spots, treating the inflammation comes before a peel. Before treatment we look at your oil levels together with how much stinging and redness you get, and if you have comedones that need extracting, we also discuss adding extraction.

  • Tell us which products you use and for how long. If you are using acids or retinoids, your skin is already thinner, so we pause for a few days before going ahead. We will also tell you when you can start using them again after treatment.
