Juvelook Skin at a glance

Juvelook Skin for pores, fine lines and texture. Assess scar patterns and skin condition before comparing it with volume treatment or Potenza.

Treatment time
Time: A session takes about 20–40 minutes, including numbing time.
Sessions and progress
A typical plan is about 2–3 sessions spaced roughly 4 weeks apart, with hydration felt early and texture and glow developing gradually over 2–3 months. Maintenance is considered after a period decided at consultation. (Results vary by individual.)
Recovery
Little downtime; small papules or raised bumps at the injection sites may appear and usually settle within about 1–2 days. Temporary redness, mild swelling, tenderness or minor bruising may occur. Avoid makeup, saunas and intense exercise briefly, use sun protection, and follow the guidance we provide.

Timing, progress and recovery depend on your condition and treatment area. See the guidance below for details and precautions.

is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • Rough or uneven texture and enlarged-looking pores
  • Dull skin that could look more radiant
  • Fine lines where you want skin quality rather than volume
  • Those wanting broad, even skin-quality improvement across the face

Whether Skin or another Juvelook type suits you is confirmed during consultation.

start with your concern

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • Where you are now, and where we start

Pores, fine lines, skin texture and shallow changes in volume

  • The change you want, the impression you keep

Whether Skin or another Juvelook type suits you is confirmed during consultation.

  • How it differs from similar options

These boosters all support skin quality, but they differ in particle size, depth and material — so the right one depends on whether you want texture, structure or repair support.

  • Health information and recovery schedule

Little downtime; small papules or raised bumps at the injection sites may appear and usually settle within about 1–2 days. Temporary redness, mild swelling, tenderness or minor bruising may occur. Avoid makeup, saunas and intense exercise briefly, use sun protection, and follow the guidance we provide.

the principle

How it works

Before the product name we match the actual ingredients, the injection layer and your skin concern, then decide the dose, the interval and anything done alongside it.

Juvelook Skin uses fine PDLLA microparticles blended with hyaluronic acid. Placed in the upper-to-mid dermis with fine microinjections, the HA hydrates immediately while the PDLLA is gradually resorbed and is thought to support collagen renewal, helping refine texture, soften fine lines and improve radiance over a series of sessions. Its finer particle size is aimed at broad skin-quality improvement rather than adding volume — that is the main difference from Juvelook Volume.

Juvelook Skin

How it works

  • Fine PDLLA with hyaluronic acid

Juvelook Skin uses fine PDLLA microparticles blended with hyaluronic acid, placed in the upper-to-mid dermis.

  • Hydration now, texture over time

The HA hydrates immediately, while the finer PDLLA particles are gradually resorbed and are thought to support collagen renewal for texture and glow.

  • Finer particles, nearer the surface

The smaller particle size and shallower placement are aimed at broad skin-quality improvement rather than adding volume.

  • Why change is gradual

Collagen-related change develops over a series of sessions and the following weeks rather than at once. (Results vary by individual.)

the qd standard

The same treatment, never the same plan.

Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.

  • DIAGNOSIS FIRST

    Cause before name

We first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.

  • LESS, PRECISE

    Only as much as needed

Rather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.

  • HONEST LIMIT

    The limits, explained too

We explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. DAY 0

    Treatment day

Numbing first, then fine microinjections in the upper-to-mid dermis. Small papules or raised bumps may appear, with mild redness or swelling; skin may feel hydrated.

  2. DAY 1-2

    Papules settling

The small papules usually settle within about 1–2 days. Minor bruising, if any, starts to fade.

  3. WEEK 1

    Hydration felt

Many people notice a hydrated, fresher-looking surface early from the hyaluronic acid. This varies between people.

  4. 2-3 MONTHS

    Texture & glow

Over the sessions and the following weeks, texture and radiance may improve as collagen renews. (Results vary by individual.)

  5. AFTER THE COURSE

    Review & maintenance

Your doctor reviews the outcome and discusses maintenance timing based on your skin.

Neither is “better” — they work differently and suit different goals. The right choice is decided after we assess your skin.

before consultation

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

  • The material is the same; what differs is the particle size and where we place it. Juvelook Skin has finer particles, so it is spread across the face to work on skin texture, fine lines and the area around the pores, while Juvelook Volume has larger particles and is used to fill in areas that have sunken. As a rule of thumb, if your concern is the texture of the skin itself, Skin is the right choice; if it is a loss of volume, then Volume is.

  • As the dermis around the pores becomes thicker, the pores can look less pronounced. That said, the pores themselves do not actually become smaller, and pores that are enlarged by heavy sebum production or by scarring are better suited to other methods. We first check which type you have, and then plan the treatment together with you.

  • We place it in small amounts across whichever areas concern you, from the forehead to the cheeks and around the mouth. Including the time for numbing cream, it usually takes around 20 to 40 minutes, depending on how wide an area we cover. Because it is injected over a broad area, small injection marks appear in several places, so it is better to leave some room in your schedule. How far we treat is something we decide together at the consultation.

  • Injection marks and mild redness usually settle within one to three days. Since the product is distributed over the whole face, the marks appear in several places, and some people do bruise, so we recommend leaving about a week before an important occasion. Please avoid saunas, strenuous exercise and alcohol on the day of your treatment.

  • Sessions are normally planned as a course of several treatments a few weeks apart. Because the change PDLLA brings about appears gradually over several months, we do not recommend having them too close together. The number of sessions and the interval between them are decided individually, based on the condition of your skin and how it responds.

  • The same cc does not mean the same product specification, preparation or amount of product. Distinguish the amount by vial from the injection volume after preparation, and compare the treatment area and planned sessions. Texture and volume treatments have different goals, so cc alone cannot predict the result.

  • Immediate injection marks and swelling differ from persistent or delayed firm lumps. Ask your treating clinic to assess lumps that remain, enlarge or become red or painful. Avoid forceful massage on your own and follow care instructions for the specific product and area.

  • Look at the examination and the plan rather than the treatment name. First, what the clinic checks before deciding — at QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, the first thing we look at for this treatment is “Pores, fine lines, skin texture and shallow changes in volume”. Second, whether it explains why it recommends that scope and method, compared with the alternatives. Third, whether it reviews your progress with you when results are expected. Our doctor goes through these three points at consultation before the treatment is decided.
