Safety & considerations

Contact a clinician immediately for worsening pain or skin that turns pale or dusky. Blurred or sudden loss of vision is an emergency. The nose and smile-line area need particular care because blood vessels run there. The anatomy is checked, small amounts are injected slowly, and treatment stops immediately if any warning sign appears.

If needed, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase to adjust it.

For the first few days, do not press or rub the treated areas. Avoid saunas, heat packs, alcohol and strenuous exercise for the period your clinician advises, and avoid sleeping face down or other pressure on the face early on.
