Scalp Exosome 5cc

qd exosome scalp treatment

Scalp Exosome 5cc uses ASCE+ (ASCEplus) SRLV “Derma Signal Kit”, an exosome product by ExoCoBio, mixed just before use and applied after MTS (microneedling) opens fine channels in the scalp. Each set has a Vial 1 of lyophilised powder and a Vial 2 of diluent, and the manufacturer labels the product a topical cosmetic for skin texture and condition. It is not a hair-loss medicine. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, we first examine the type of hair loss and the scalp, then decide how it fits with established treatment.

is this for me

Who it’s for

Even if none of these describes you, we will look again at the consultation.

  • You use hair-loss medication and want to add in-clinic scalp care
  • Your scalp skin also feels dry or tight
  • You are looking for a scalp procedure without a blood draw

SRLV is a cosmetic the manufacturer released for skin improvement, so it cannot be said to treat hair loss or make new hair grow. Active male or female pattern hair loss needs evidence-based oral or topical medication first; this treatment is scalp care added on top of that.

start with your concern

Before you pick a treatment name, start with the cause of your concern.

Even a treatment with the same name takes on a different role and scope depending on your current structure, the change you want, what you have had before and the recovery time you have.

  • Where you are now, and where we start

What is in an ASCE+ SRLV set (Vial 1 powder, Vial 2 diluent), its “topical cosmetic” labelling and how it is applied after MTS

  • The change you want, the impression you keep

SRLV is a cosmetic the manufacturer released for skin improvement, so it cannot be said to treat hair loss or make new hair grow. Active male or female pattern hair loss needs evidence-based oral or topical medication first; this treatment is scalp care added on top of that.

  • How it differs from similar options

All three add something to the scalp, but what is added and how strong the evidence is differ.

  • Health information and recovery schedule

Redness, stinging and pinpoint bleeding from MTS usually settle within a day or two.

the principle

How it works

Powder and diluent are mixed just before use and applied over channels opened by fine needles.

Exosomes are nanometre-sized vesicles released by cells, carrying signalling molecules such as proteins and RNA. The key ingredient of ASCE+ SRLV (Skin Rejuvenation Lyophilized Vial) is extracellular vesicles from Damask rose callus, which the manufacturer calls “Rose Stem Cell Exosome”; they are separated from cell debris, proteins and culture components with the manufacturer’s ExoSCRT technology, then freeze-dried in Vial 1. Just before treatment the powder is dissolved in the Vial 2 diluent, MTS opens fine channels in the scalp surface, and the solution is applied. The raw-material properties the manufacturer describes concern skin improvement; they do not mean hair changes have been shown in human scalps.

How it works

  • Vial 1: lyophilised powder

Vial 1 holds the exosome ingredient as freeze-dried powder (20 mg). It is kept as a powder and dissolved only just before treatment, so no pre-mixed solution is used.

  • Vial 2: 5 ml diluent

Vial 2 is the 5 ml diluent that dissolves Vial 1; the manufacturer calls it an “activating solution”. One set of Vial 1 and Vial 2 is one session’s amount, and each box holds five sets.

  • MTS opens the way

A device with very fine needles makes short channels in the scalp surface before the dissolved solution is applied. It is not injected deep into the scalp with a syringe; needle depth and area depend on scalp thickness and any inflammation.

  • An authenticity mark

The Vial 1 label carries the manufacturer’s HiddenTag watermark. Scanning it with the HiddenTag app shows whether the product was officially manufactured and distributed.

the qd standard

The same treatment, never the same plan.

Rather than a fashionable name or a fixed package, we weigh the structure found at examination, safety, recovery and the limits within one plan.

  • DIAGNOSIS FIRST

    Cause before name

We first separate out the tissue and the function behind your concern.

  • LESS, PRECISE

    Only as much as needed

Rather than an excessive change, we plan the smallest scope with a clear role.

  • HONEST LIMIT

    The limits, explained too

We explain the change you can expect, the alternatives, individual differences and the risks.

  1. Diagnosis first

The type of hair loss and any scalp inflammation are checked first. Shedding from another cause — childbirth, thyroid, low iron — is treated at its source.

  2. We show you the product

Before treatment we check Vials 1 and 2 and the HiddenTag with you, and explain that it is a skin cosmetic, how it is applied with MTS and the reactions to expect.

  3. Tracked with photos

Scalp photos are taken under the same light and angle as at the start, so the decision to continue is objective.

What the procedure is like

  1. Magnified scalp examination and medical history to identify the type of hair loss and any inflammation.
  2. Your current hair-loss medication and recent scalp procedures are reviewed and the treatment area is set.
  3. The scalp is cleansed and disinfected, then MTS opens fine channels over the planned area.
  4. SRLV Vial 1 powder is dissolved in the 5 ml Vial 2 diluent and spread evenly over the scalp.
  5. After the scalp settles, you are told when to wash your hair and what to avoid.

Visit length depends on the examination and on the area cleansed, treated with MTS and covered. When booking, tell us your later plans and how much time you have.

Plan it with our doctors

Please read this before treatment

  • Redness, stinging and pinpoint bleeding from MTS usually settle within a day or two.
  • On the day, avoid rubbing the scalp hard, saunas and strenuous exercise, and follow the instructions you were given on when to wash your hair.
  • Put off colouring, perms and other irritating scalp treatments until the redness has gone.

Safety & considerations

Reactions that can occur

  • Temporary redness, warmth or stinging of the scalp
  • Pinpoint bleeding, itching or small scabs where MTS was used
  • Rarely, contact dermatitis to an ingredient (itching, rash)

Tell us first if any of these apply

  • Inflammation, infection or wounds on the scalp to be treated
  • Allergy to rose or other plant ingredients, or to cosmetics
  • A tendency to keloids, a bleeding disorder or anticoagulant use
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding or a recent scalp procedure

ASCE+ SRLV is a skin cosmetic, not a medicine, and does not guarantee any hair-loss result. Contact the clinic if redness, pain or oozing keeps getting worse, and do not stop prescribed hair-loss medication on your own.

what to expect

What to expect over time

A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.

  1. Same day

The MTS area may turn red or sting, with pinpoint bleeding. Most people return to daily life straight away.

  2. Days 1–3

Redness and tightness settle. Avoid scratching or rubbing the scalp hard.

  3. Months

Hair grows in long cycles, so change is judged over months against photos taken at the start under the same light and angle.

  4. Review

Whether and how often to repeat depends on the first response and the medication you use alongside; no set number of sessions is recommended in advance.

Sessions & results

No clinical trial of ASCE+ SRLV for hair loss could be found, so no number of sessions can be promised. Evidence for rose-derived exosomes in hair loss is also limited to a case report and small observational studies, and a 2025 systematic review of 11 studies on exosome therapy concluded that small, heterogeneous studies mean well-designed randomised trials are still needed. Photos are compared at set intervals to decide whether to continue.

before consultation

Before you decide, the questions people always ask

  • An exosome product, the “Derma Signal Kit”, made by ExoCoBio in South Korea and labelled as a topical cosmetic. One set (one session) is a Vial 1 of 20 mg lyophilised powder and a Vial 2 of 5 ml diluent, with five sets per box. It is not a medicine approved to treat hair loss.

  • The “SR” in SRLV stands for Skin Rejuvenation; the manufacturer made it for skin texture and condition. The scalp is skin too, so it is applied after MTS, but it is not the product the manufacturer makes separately for scalp and hair (HRLV). No study has looked at hair changes after using SRLV on the scalp, so we describe it as scalp skin care.

  • So the exosome ingredient can be kept as a freeze-dried powder and dissolved only just before treatment. One set — Vial 1 powder dissolved in 5 ml of Vial 2 diluent — is one session’s amount, and leftover solution is not kept for a later session. Once dissolved, it is spread over the scalp where MTS has opened fine channels, not injected deep into the scalp with a syringe.

  • The key ingredient, “Rose Stem Cell Exosome”, comes from rose callus (a cluster of cells grown from plant tissue), not from human stem cells. However, the manufacturer’s Korean product page also lists human adipose cell conditioned media extract and several skin-active ingredients, so we check the full ingredient list on the box with you. Tell us in advance if you have any ingredient allergy.

  • The side of Vial 1 carries the manufacturer’s HiddenTag authenticity watermark. Scanning it with the HiddenTag smartphone app shows the official production and distribution record. If you would like to check it, ask before treatment.

  • Usually yes, and you keep taking your medication. Applying minoxidil straight onto a scalp just treated with MTS can increase irritation, so we tell you separately when to apply it before and after treatment. Do not stop prescribed hair-loss medication on your own; whether and how often to repeat is decided from your first response and the medication you use alongside.

  • Look at the examination and the plan rather than the treatment name. First, what the clinic checks before deciding — at QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, the first thing we look at for this treatment is “What is in an ASCE+ SRLV set (Vial 1 powder, Vial 2 diluent), its “topical cosmetic” labelling and how it is applied after MTS”. Second, whether it explains why it recommends that scope and method, compared with the alternatives. Third, whether it reviews your progress with you when results are expected. Our doctor goes through these three points at consultation before the treatment is decided.
